And they have taken to them other gods apart from God, that they might be for them a might.

And they have taken gods beside Allah that they might be unto them a glory. Chapter 19

Have they taken others for intercessors beside Allah!

And they have taken (for worship) aliha (gods) besides Allah, that they might give them honour, power and glory (and also protect them from Allah's Punishment etc.).

Have they taken others as intercessors besides Allah?

And they took, besides God, other gods, to be for them a source of strength.

Or have they chosen intercessors other than God?

They have taken other gods instead of Allah that they may be a source of strength for them.

Or have they taken others instead of Allah as intercessors?

And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them.

Or choose they intercessors other than Allah? Say What!

They have taken gods besides Allah that they may be a source of might to them.

Have they taken intercessors besides Allah? Say, What!

And they have taken gods, other than Allah, that they might be a power from them.

Have they chosen, other than Allah, to intercede for them?

And they have taken besides Allah false deities that they would be for them a source of honor.

Or have they taken other than Allah as intercessors?

They have sought honor from other gods instead of God.

And they have taken gods besides Allah, that they should be to them a source of strength

Or have they taken intercessors besides Allah?

They have taken other deities besides God, so that they may be a source of strength for them.

Have they taken others for intercessors besides God?

And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory!

What! Do they take for intercessors others besides Allah?

Where instead of taking Jesus' words, Love your enemies.

Those who take infidels for, friends, instead of the believers.

Those who ally themselves with the disbelievers instead of the believers.

who take the unbelievers for their allies in preference to the believers.

Those who chose disbelievers for their friends instead of believers!

those who take the faithless for allies instead of the faithful.

Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers.

Those who take the unbelievers for guardians rather than believers.

And take other gods apart from God that they may perhaps give them help.

And they have appointed Gods other than Allah, that perhaps they may be helped!

Yet they have taken, apart from God, gods haply they might be helped.

And they have taken beside Allah gods, hoping that haply they may be succoured.

Take not for Auliya' (protectors or helpers or friends) disbelievers instead of believers.
