These two things have happened to you. Who will bemoan you? Desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword how shall I comfort you?

These two things are come unto thee who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword by whom shall I comfort thee?

Fearfulness and trembling have come on me. Horror has overwhelmed me.

For the thing which I fear comes on me, That which I am afraid of comes to me.

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

Haven't you procured this to yourself, in that you have forsaken Yahweh your God , when he led you by the way?

Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?

However you are just in all that has come on us for you have dealt truly, but we have done wickedly

Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly

Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom, saying Thus says your brother Israel You know all the travail that has happened to us

He said to them, Take me up, and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will be calm for you for I know that because of me this great storm is on you.

And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea so shall the sea be calm unto you for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

If you say in your heart, Why are these things come on me? for the greatness of your iniquity are your skirts uncovered, and your heels suffer violence.

And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered, and thy heels made bare.

Then they asked him, Tell us, please, for whose cause this evil is on us. What is your occupation? Where do you come from? What is your country? Of what people are you?

Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?

They all said to each other, Come, let us cast lots, that we may know who is responsible for this evil that is on us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

Now why do you cry out aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pains have taken hold of you as of a woman in travail?

And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.

Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counseller perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come on us yet have we not entreated the favor of Yahweh our God, that we should turn from our iniquities, and have discernment in your truth.

After all that has come on us for our evil deeds, and for our great guilt, since you, our God, have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such a remnant,

And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this
