Messages deterring them from evil had come to them,

And indeed the news which had a lot of deterrence, came to them.

And there have come to them such tidings as contain a deterrent

And assuredly there hath come Unto them tidings wherein is a deterrent.

And indeed there has come to them news (in this Quran) wherein there is (enough warning) to check (them from evil),

And there came to them news containing a deterrent.

Surely there came to them narratives (of the ancient nations) that should suffice to deter (them from transgression),

And surely there hath come unto them news whereof the purport should deter,

There have already come to them reports containing admonishment,

Tidings containing a deterrent have come to them

And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence

They have certainly received the kind of news in which there is a lesson and strong words of wisdom,

And certainly some narratives have come to them wherein is prevention

there has come to them many a tiding wherein there are warnings,

There have already come to them Recitals wherein there is (enough) to check (them),

So, what are you going to do with what you've been given?

Has there not come to them the clear sign of what is in the former scrolls?

Hath not there came unto them the evidence of that which is in the former Scriptures?

Has there not come to them the proof of that which is (written) in the former papers Scriptures, i.e. the Taurat (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel), etc. about the coming of the Prophet Muhammad SAW .

Were they not given enough miracles in the former scriptures?

Has there not come to them a Book containing the teachings of the previous scriptures?

Hath there not come unto them the proof of what is in the former scriptures?

Has there not come to them a clear proof in that which is in the former scriptures?

Has there not come to them evidence of what was in the former scriptures?

Have they not received the previously revealed heavenly Books as the evidence of the Truth.

Has not there come to them a clear evidence of what is in the previous books?

Have they not been given sufficient proof in previous scriptures?

Has not a Clear Sign come to them of all that was in the former Books of revelation?

No but they have cried lies to that whereof they comprehended not the knowledge, and whose interpretation has not yet come to them.

Aye! they have belied that of which the knowledge they comprehended not and of which the fulfilment hath not come to them.

Nay, they deny that the knowledge whereof they could not compass and whereof the interpretation has not yet come unto them.

In fact, they deny what is beyond the limits of their knowledge, and whose explanation has not yet reached them.

In fact they arbitrarily rejected as false whatever they failed to comprehend and whose final sequel was not apparent to them.

Nay, but they denied that, the knowledge whereof they could not compass, and whereof the interpretation (in events) hath not yet come unto them.

Indeed, they deny something whose knowledge they do not comprehend, and whose explanation has not yet come to them.

They have belied that which they did not understand of its knowledge, nor has its interpretation reached them.

Rather, they have denied that which they encompass not in knowledge and whose interpretation has not yet come to them.

They call a lie something that is beyond the limit of their knowledge and whose interpretation has not yet been revealed.

Indeed, they are denying something which they cannot comprehend the reality not yet having dawned on them.
