Your companion is not mad.

And your companion is not insane.

Your companion is not possessed

Nor is your companion distracted.

There is no madness in their companion (Muhammad SAW).

And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman

There is no madness in their friend.

Your friend is not possessed.

(O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad

And your comrade is not mad.

Your companion is not crazy

Your Companion is not mad,

There is in their companion Muhammad no madness.

And your companion is not at all mad.

Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness

And your companion is not gone mad.

Your companion is not one possessed

And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed

That your companion is not confused, nor has he gone astray,

Do they not ponder that their companion is far removed from insanity?

Your companion did not err, nor did he go astray.

your comrade is not astray, neither errs,

Your companion hath not gone astray, nor hath he erred.

Your companion (Muhammad SAW) has neither gone astray nor has erred.

Your friend has not gone astray, nor has he erred.

Have they not pondered that their companion i.e. the Prophet Muhammad is not afflicted with insanity?

your companion has neither strayed nor is he deluded

Have they not bethought them (that) there is no madness in their comrade?

Your comrade erreth not, nor is deceived

your companion has neither gone astray, nor amiss.

your companion is neither astray, neither errs,

Your companion Muhammad has not strayed, nor has he erred,

Why will they not understand that their companion (Muhammad) is not possessed by jinn.

your companion is not in error nor has he gone astray.

Your companion does not err, nor does he go astray

Have they not reflected that their companion is not mad?

your companion has neither strayed nor is he misguided,

Your Companion is neither astray nor being misled.

But they called their commander, who seized and hamstrung her.

In response they called their companion he therefore caught and hamstrung the she camel.

Then they called their comrade, and he took in hand, and hamstrung her.

Then they called their fellow, and he took the sword and hamstrung her,

But they called their comrade and he took (a sword) and killed (her).

But they called their friend, and he dared, and he slaughtered.

Eventually, they summoned their companion, and he undertook the (outrageous) task and hamstrung the she camel.
