They tell me how much you care ...

My name is Alejandra Baca, but everyone calls me Ale except the doctors, who call me Karlita.

What about a life?

I don't care about what they say.

I do what I'm told.

I go where I'm told to go.

I don't like those who say so.

I couldn't care less what they say.

They say, It's okay, we'll email you.

Everybody says I look like my father.

But what about accidental death?

Now a lot of kids tell me they want to be millionaires.

The corals say, You cheated. You didn't pay your rent.

IBGYBG, they say I ll be gone, you ll be gone.

And they say, So how can I be a sociologist?

And I'm watching your faces, because your faces are telling me something.

And what did she say to me? 'I love you!' They always say that.

They said, No, no, it's too hot. They come out later. They're smart.

They say that music soothes the savage beast, but for me personally, it neither relaxes me nor calms me.

Patients who are not relieved always say the same thing I want to die.

And they react. They told me what is possible, what is impossible.

And usually when I tell people I'm an artist, they just look at me and say, Do you paint?

And you know, some of my friends have always said, Hey, you're just paranoid. Why are you doing this?

If I'm going to die, I'd rather have a blow out three times a week they say, but not in my case.

And sometimes I have young people approaching me say, Lan, you changed my life, and I feel proud of that.

And one of them, several of them would come up to me and say, Well, how come you ain't teaching?

I'm walking across campus. Cop comes and looks at me and says, You! You're a student.

And when it airs I get calls from all the guys I was with and they tell me that they receive hundreds of calls congratulating them.

And finally, some people say, well, you know, I don't feel like a bunch of cells, you know. I'm conscious.

It's true what they say, and I didn't believe it until it happened to me.

Some say this, and others say that.

I won't even write these down I'll just call them out as they're called out to me.

And when they speak, you listen to what they say.

Because it isn't what they do, it's who they are. They say, But this is me, you know.

Behold, they tell me, Where is the word of Yahweh? let it come now.

And they said, Our Lord!
