(O Prophet), the bedouins who were left behind say to you We were occupied with our goods and families.

The Bedouins who had stayed back from joining the Prophet in his umrah journey to Makkah will tell you, Our possessions and families kept us occupied.

Those who stayed behind rejoiced at their staying behind the Messenger of God.

Those who were allowed to stay behind rejoiced at remaining behind and not accompanying the Messenger of Allah.

Those who did not take part in the battle (of Tabuk), were glad about their staying home against the order of the Messenger of God.

Those who stayed at home were glad that they were left behind by God's Messenger.

The Arabs of the desert who had stayed behind will now say to you We were occupied with our flocks and herds and families, so ask forgiveness for us.

Those who had stayed behind will say When you depart for taking the spoils, allow us to follow you.

The Bedouins who were left behind will say to thee, 'We were occupied by our possessions and our families so ask forgiveness for us!'

Those who lagged behind of the desert Arabs Will presently say Unto thee our properties and our households kept us occupied, so ask thou forgiveness for Us.

Those who lagged behind will presently, When ye march forth to take spoils, leave us, we shall follow say you.

Those of the bedouins who lagged behind will say to you Our possessions and our families occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us.

The Desert Arabs who remained behind will say to you, Our belongings and our families have preoccupied us, so ask forgiveness for us.

Those who lagged behind will say when you depart to collect the gains, Let us follow you.

When you press forth for the spoils, those who were left behind will say Let us accompany you.

Those of the wandering Arabs who were left behind will tell thee Our possessions and our households occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us!

Those who were left behind will say, when ye set forth to capture booty Let us go with you.

In the near future when you will set out to capture booty, those who stayed behind in this journey will say, Let us follow you.

The Bedouins who lagged behind will say to you 'We were occupied with our possessions and families, so ask Allah to forgive us' But they say with theirtongues what they do not mean in their hearts.

Those who remained behind of the bedouins will say to you, Our properties and our families occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us.

Those who remained behind will say when you set out toward the war booty to take it, Let us follow you.

The bedouins who lag behind in taking part in the battle say to you, Ask forgiveness for us we were busy with our property and household.

Those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind will say to you Our property and our families kept us busy, so ask forgiveness for us.

Those who are left behind will say when you set forth for the gaining of acquisitions Allow us (that) we may follow you.

Those desert Arabs who remained behind will say to you, Our belongings and our families kept us occupied, so ask forgiveness for us.

When you believers set off to gather the spoils, those that stayed behind will say, Let us come with you.

The desert Arabs who lagged behind will say to thee We were engaged in (looking after) our flocks and herds, and our families do thou then ask forgiveness for us.

At least 14,000 homes in the vicinity of Burlington and Ocean Counties were left without power.

And a more general question for our society is, what's going to happen to all the rest that are left behind?

And also He relented toward the three who were left behind until when the earth, vast as it is, became straitened unto them and their own lives became straitened unto them and they imagined that there was no refuge from Allah except unto Him.

And (He did forgive also) the three who did not join the Tabuk expedition (whom the Prophet SAW) left (i.e. he did not give his judgement in their case, and their case was suspended for Allah's Decision) till for them the earth, vast as it is, was straitened and their ownselves were straitened to them, and they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allah, and no refuge but with Him.

And to the three also (did He turn in mercy) who were left behind, when the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for them, and their own souls were straitened for them till they bethought them that there is no refuge from Allah save toward Him.

And to the three who were left behind (at the Battle of Tabuk), until the earth became narrow with all its vastness, and their souls became narrow for them, they knew there was no shelter from Allah except in Him.

And He also forgave the three who were left behind and regretted their error to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him.

God also forgave the three people who lagged behind. Grief made them feel as though there was no place in the whole vast earth to hide them or in their souls to conceal their sorrow.

He has turned with mercy to the three whose case was deferred, when the earth, for all its spaciousness, closed in upon them, and their own souls seemed straitened to them and they realised that there was no refuge from God except in Him.

(He turned in mercy also) to the three who were left behind (they felt guilty) to such a degree that the earth seemed constrained to them, for all its spaciousness, and their (very) souls seemed straitened to them, and they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allah (and no refuge) but to Himself.

Those who had stayed behind will now say, When you go to receive the war booty, let us also go with you they wish to change the Words of Allah say You shall never come with us this is already decreed by Allah so they will now say, But rather you envy us in fact they never understood except a little.

The Bedouins who were left behind will say, when you set forth after spoils, to take them, 'Let us follow you,' desiring to change God's words.

Those who lagged behind will say, when you set forth to take the spoils, Allow us to follow you, They want to change Allah's Words.

When you set forth to take the spoils, those Bedouins who lagged behind will say 'Let us follow you' They hope to change the Words of Allah.

The laggardly Bedouins will say, When you leave to collect the spoils, let us follow you. They want to alter the command of God (that only the participating believers are entitled to such benefit).

Those who lagged behind (will say), when ye (are free to) march and take booty (in war) Permit us to follow you.

Say to the desert Arabs who had stayed behind You will be called against a formidable people.
