We are going to have the paradox of too many Germans present but yet still under representing Germany.

Therefore we have proposed amendments to the Commission's package which will ensure that every penny that is given under structural fund aid to the old territory of the GDR will meet Community objectives.

We need them for feedback on social, economic and political issues, and we need them to avoid disruption caused by the application of EEC legislation to the former GDR.
