Such comments go unpunished.

And say to those who have been given the Book and to the common folk 'Have you surrendered?'

And say thou unto those who have been vouchsafed the Book and unto the illiterates do you (also) accept Islam?

And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are illiterates (Arab pagans) Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah in Islam)?

And say to those who were given the Scripture, and to the unlearned, Have you surrendered?

And ask the People of the Book as well as those who follow no heavenly Scripture 'Have you also submitted (to Allah)?'

And say unto those who have received the Scripture and those who read not Have ye (too) surrendered?

And say to those who were given the Book and the uninstructed ones, Do you submit?

And say to those who were given the Scripture and to the unlearned, Have you submitted yourselves?

Ask the People of the Book and the illiterate ones, Have you embraced Islam?

And ask those who have been given the Book, as well as the unlettered, Do you submit yourselves to God in the same way?

And say to the People of the Book and to those who are unlearned Do ye (also) submit yourselves?

These all, having had testimony given to them through their faith, didn't receive the promise,

And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise

Why did they not think over the message? Or has something come to them which had not come to their fathers?

Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers?

Have they not pondered the saying, or came there upon them that which came not upon their fathers, the ancients?

Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient?

Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old?

Have they not pondered the Word? Or has there come to them what came not to their forefathers of old?

Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore?

Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old?

Have they not contemplated the Discourse, or has anything come to them in it that did not come to their forefathers?

Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers?

Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers?

Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers?

Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old?

Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers?

Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old?

He came to his own, and those who were his own didn't receive him.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

You say 'We did not get the information at the time'.

The people of the Book were not divided among themselves till after the clear proof had come to them.

Nor did the People of the Book(s) get divided until after the clear proof came to them.

And they scattered not, those that were given the Book, excepting after the Clear Sign came to them.

And those who are vouchsafed the Book divided not save after there had come Unto them the evidence.

And the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) differed not until after there came to them clear evidence. (i.e. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and whatever was revealed to him).

Those who were given the Scripture did not splinter, except after the Clear Evidence came to them.

Nor did those to whom the Book had been given split up until after the Proof (of the Right Way) had come to them.

Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them.

Those who were given the Book did not divide except after the proof had come to them.

Those to whom the Book was given did not divide themselves until the Clear Proof came to them.

Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence.

Nor did the People of the Book disagreed among themselves until after receiving the ancient divine testaments.

And those who were given the Book did not become divided except after clear evidence had come to them.
